I am in New York now! I asked you for suggestions on who to interview here and I got great response of you all! From multipreneur Alex Mashinsky to a tour at trendwatching company Sparks & Honey. Interestingly, so far I have only found 1 Tesla in New York.. It seems like the electric driving revolution is going rather slow here.If you know anybody in Nantucket who I should interview, let me know in a comment!

Alex Mashinksy: from Ukraine to Israel to the U.S.A. | Part 1/6

Alex Mashinsky is an entrepreneur who founded multiple tech firms in the U.S.A.: from Voicesmart, one of the first firms to offer Voice over IP calls, to Groundlink, an online book on-demand car service (before Uber existed!). In part 1 of the interview we talk about Alex’s history going from Ukraine to the competitive environment in Israel and eventually ending up in the thriving USA. What did he learn?

Tour at New York trendwatching agency Sparks & Honey

Sparks & Honey is a trendwatching agency that does it the New York way & as a Dutch trendwatcher I had to check it out what that means! I get a tour at Sparks & Honey and talk to VP Jim Doria. What trends do they analyze? They created a sophisticated way to analyze trends from 56k signals found in articles, tweets & Youtube videos among other things. They also have a great daily briefing of cultural trends online and in the studio & a lot of reports are free!

See you next week!
