Best 10 English interviews/movies of 2019: Vint Cerf, VW electrification, BIC 19, China EV and healthcare

2019 was a special year! I have a very interesting talk with the founder of the internet, Vint Cerf. Furthermore, Volkswagen is producing more and more EVs. China makes a huge development on EV and healthcare. The Blockchain Innovation Conference 2019 was also taking place with special guests & BIC2020 is already announced! I am looking forward to technological developments in 2020!

WeDoctor: Having contact with a doctor at home digitally!

(Apologies for speaking Dutch at some parts) WeDoctor is a Chinese online healthcare platform that connects 3.000 hospitals, and 300.000 doctors. At least 200 million people are consulted digitally. I test the platform at the demo center and I ask for a consultancy by a doctor. All in all, WeDoctor is a very sophisticated healthcare system!

Fake news over EV debunked | Auke Hoekstra

Er was veel nep nieuws over Electric Vehicles in 2019! Sr. Advisor Electric Mobility TU Eindhoven Auke Hoekstra heeft onvermoeibaar al het nepnieuws bestreden (waar hij de Gouden Stekker voor verdiende) en ik praat met hem over wat er allemaal gaande was. Van het aantonen dat EVs na 20.000-40.000 km al minder vervuilend zijn dan benzine- en dieselauto’s (i.p.v. de geclaimde 700.000 km) tot aan het aantonen dat een accu 500.000 km meegaat (i.p.v. de geclaimde levensduur van 150.000 km).
 

Magnetic train: Van Shanghai tot Shanghai International Airport in slechts 7 minuten met 300 km/uur

Ik reis met de magnetische trein van Shanghai tot het vliegveld van deze enorme metropool in slechts 7 minuten, wat normaal met de metro een uur zou duren! De trein kan wel 400(!) kilometer per uur gaan, maar bij ons ging het echter ‘maar’ 300 kilometer per uur. Bekijk onze ervaring in deze super snelle magnetische trein van Shanghai!
