Bart Mellink of Gartner<\/strong> explains this in his talk where he discusses what IT departments currently think of and do with blockchain<\/a><\/strong>. He also shares some interesting insights<\/strong> and statistics<\/strong> about the industry!<\/p>\n In New York<\/strong>\u00a0I\u00a0met with Jan Raes<\/strong> from the ABN Amro<\/strong>. Jan gave a talk at the UN<\/strong> here in New York about the Circular Economy Finance Guidelines<\/strong> that has just been launched by three big Dutch bank<\/strong>s. Jan tells me more about\u00a0these guidelines<\/a><\/strong> and how they want to make it the world standard<\/strong> in the circular economy. I used to have a love affair with the Segway<\/strong> and\u00a0now they’re also available as a pair of shoes<\/strong>! Casey Neistat has tested them in New York<\/a><\/strong>. I would not use it myself but it looks fun<\/strong>!<\/p>\n Time for something optimistic! I am reading\u00a0Enlightenment Now: The Case for Reason, Science, Humanism, and Progress<\/strong><\/em><\/a> by\u00a0Steven Pinker about how the world has become so much better: how long we live, less wars, how much education and every other aspect of life!\u00a0I can recommend it to everyone, but if you don’t want to read you can always watch his TED Talk on this topic<\/a><\/strong>! You’ll feel much better about the world!<\/p>\n In Nederland<\/strong> maken\u00a0ruim \u00e9\u00e9n\u00a0miljoen mensen<\/strong> gebruik van de trein <\/strong>op een normale werkdag. He shares his learnings and perspectives<\/a><\/strong> concerning organizing conferences and this variety of subjects.<\/p>\n
