Among them was Leonardo da Vinci, who \u2013 like Michelangelo \u2013 had only recently returned to his native Florence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting with Michelangelo\u2019s celebrated&nbsp;<em>Taddei Tondo<\/em>, this exhibition explores the rivalry between Michelangelo and Leonardo and the influence both had on the young Raphael.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>See some of the finest examples of Italian Renaissance drawing, including Leonardo\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Burlington House Cartoon<\/em>&nbsp;and the studies by Leonardo and Michelangelo for their murals commissioned by the Florentine government for the newly constructed council hall in the Palazzo Vecchio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Exhibition organised by the Royal Academy of Arts, London, in partnership with Royal Collection Trust and the National Gallery, London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>9 November 2024 &#8211; 16 February 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Gabrielle Jungels-Winkler Galleries | Burlington Gardens<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Image:<\/strong> <strong>Leonardo da Vinci<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Virgin and Child with St Anne and the Infant St John the Baptist (&#8216;The Burlington House Cartoon&#8217;), c.1506-08<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Charcoal with white chalk on paper, mounted on canvas. 141.5 x 104.6 cm.
