A natural collaboration, given the strong connection between his oeuvre and the world of the automobile.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exhibition opens on Saturday 11 April, World Parkinson\u2019s Day. A meaningful moment, as Gordijn has been living with this disease for ten years, yet continues to work and create.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"590\" height=\"432\" src=\"https:\/\/inzaken.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/vrooom-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-43743\" srcset=\"https:\/\/inzaken.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/vrooom-2.jpg 590w, https:\/\/inzaken.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/vrooom-2-300x220.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 590px) 100vw, 590px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The exhibition presents paintings and photography from his life\u2019s work. Gordijn is known for his quiet, cinematic images of American landscapes, cars and gas stations. Much of his work is automotive in nature and connects closely with the collection of the Louwman Museum. Since its opening, the museum has included works by Gordijn in its collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"590\" height=\"442\" src=\"https:\/\/inzaken.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/vrooom-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-43744\" srcset=\"https:\/\/inzaken.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/vrooom-3.jpg 590w, https:\/\/inzaken.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/vrooom-3-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 590px) 100vw, 590px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>His work originates from observations made during his travels through the United States. Gordijn translates these impressions into carefully constructed compositions in which space, stillness and detail play a central role.
