This programme will be expanded and updated throughout the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lapedrera.com\/en\/tickets\/\">Visits to the La Pedrera &#8211; Casa Mil\u00e0 building<\/a>: different types of tours to discover the work of Antoni Gaud\u00ed and its most iconic spaces.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Family activity&nbsp;<em>Gaud\u00ed File<\/em>. A proposal designed to introduce the architect\u2019s figure to the whole family through a participatory and educational approach. On 6, 20 and 24 June (sessions in Catalan).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cercavila de Cultura Popular.&nbsp;Casa Batll\u00f3, La Pedrera &#8211; Casa Mil\u00e0 and the Sagrada Familia come together in a popular celebration featuring various colles geganteres and traditional culture groups from Catalonia. The book features contributions from leading specialists who analyse the building from different perspectives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Llu\u00eds Permanyer&nbsp;reviews Gaud\u00ed\u2019s career.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Daniel Giralt-Miracle&nbsp;places the architect within the Barcelona of his time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Carlos Flores&nbsp;provides an architectural analysis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Josep Maria Huertas&nbsp;offers a social perspective on the building.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Galdric Santana&nbsp;reveals previously unknown aspects of the ceilings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>David Ferrer&nbsp;highlights the design, especially the wrought ironwork.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The texts are accompanied by historical and previously unpublished images, a photographic selection by Pere Vivas and an illustrated chronology featuring the building\u2019s key moments. Altogether, the publication shows that Gaud\u00ed reached his artistic maturity with La Pedrera, a work of remarkable uniqueness and value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/inzaken.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/gaudi-year-4.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-45734\" srcset=\"https:\/\/inzaken.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/gaudi-year-4.webp 1024w, https:\/\/inzaken.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/gaudi-year-4-300x225.webp 300w, https:\/\/inzaken.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/gaudi-year-4-768x576.webp 768w, https:\/\/inzaken.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/gaudi-year-4-816x612.webp 816w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>100 years since the death of Antoni Gaud\u00ed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gaud\u00ed Year offers the opportunity to rediscover the work of an essential architect who, a century later, continues to raise questions, generate research and fuel debate both within and beyond academic circles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gaud\u00ed developed a&nbsp;distinct architectural language, free from prevailing fashions and established rules. Organic forms, the structural use of geometry, the importance of light, and the incorporation of materials such as wrought iron and ceramic trencad\u00eds gave rise to a body of work of extraordinary originality, deeply connected to nature, science, religion and culture. Since 2005, his work as a whole has been recognised as&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lapedrera.com\/en\/casa-mila\/heritage\/\">a UNESCO World Heritage Site<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The architect&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lapedrera.com\/en\/architect-antoni-gaudi\/\">died in 1926 in Barcelona<\/a>&nbsp;after being struck by a tram, while still overseeing the construction of the Sagrada Fam\u00edlia. His sudden death left projects unfinished, but also a living body of work that continues to engage with the present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gaud\u00ed in Barcelona, a landscape of connected works<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gaud\u00ed\u2019s contribution to shaping Barcelona\u2019s architectural landscape is immeasurable. His work has turned the city into an international benchmark for creativity and architecture, forming a coherent ensemble that reveals the evolution of his thinking over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/inzaken.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/gaudi-year-5-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-45735\" srcset=\"https:\/\/inzaken.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/gaudi-year-5-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/inzaken.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/gaudi-year-5-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/inzaken.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/gaudi-year-5-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/inzaken.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/gaudi-year-5-768x768.jpg 768w, https:\/\/inzaken.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/gaudi-year-5-88x88.jpg 88w, https:\/\/inzaken.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/gaudi-year-5-816x816.jpg 816w, https:\/\/inzaken.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/gaudi-year-5.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Today, the following works by the architect can be seen in Barcelona:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lapedrera.com\/en\/casa-mila\/\">La Pedrera &#8211; Casa Mil\u00e0<\/a>: his last civil work and a mature synthesis of his creative universe, located on Passeig de Gr\u00e0cia.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lapedrera.com\/en\/work-antoni-gaudi\/sagrada-familia\/\">Sagrada Fam\u00edlia<\/a>: Gaud\u00ed\u2019s most ambitious project, to which he devoted the final years of his life. In 2026, the Tower of Jesus Christ, the tallest in the basilica, has been completed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lapedrera.com\/en\/work-antoni-gaudi\/park-guell\/\">Park G\u00fcell<\/a>: an urban project that integrates architecture and nature within a monumental park. Its centenary is also commemorated in 2026.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lapedrera.com\/en\/work-antoni-gaudi\/casa-batllo\/\">Casa Batll\u00f3<\/a>: the complete renovation of a bourgeois building on Passeig de Gr\u00e0cia, featuring a fa\u00e7ade and inner courtyard that explore colour, light and movement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lapedrera.com\/en\/work-antoni-gaudi\/casa-vicens\/\">Casa Vicens<\/a>: Gaud\u00ed\u2019s first major work, where many of the formal and constructive ideas that would define his career are already present.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Palau G\u00fcell: an urban residence for the G\u00fcell family and a remarkable example of functionality and symbolism, with highly advanced technical solutions for its time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other buildings such as&nbsp;Casa Calvet,&nbsp;Col\u00b7legi Teresi\u00e0,&nbsp;Torre Bellesguard, the&nbsp;Pavilions of the G\u00fcell Estate&nbsp;and the&nbsp;Gate and Fence of the Miralles Estate&nbsp;complete this Gaud\u00ed map. Gaud\u00ed Year 2026 is conceived as an opportunity to revisit his life and work from new perspectives and to highlight its continued relevance a century later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the central aims of Gaud\u00ed Year is to&nbsp;explore his work through a rigorous scientific approach, going beyond purely interpretative or symbolic readings. It also aims to&nbsp;reconnect Gaud\u00ed with local audiences, moving beyond the perception of his works as purely tourist icons.
